Inspired by his latest muse the milliner Thelma Speirs of Bernstock Speirs AW12’s ‘Thelma’ saw models walk through Somerset House’s sun drenched Portico Rooms in Speirs’ trademark headphones and grey bobbed hair. Their mutual love of ‘twisted normality’ was translated into classic and proper silhouettes with less everyday detailing. Oversized coats done up with twisted jewel encrusted belts, headphones worn as necklaces, sensible loafers in neon pink felt, rabbit ear caps and embroidered collars. Hard to say what was my favourite look, let alone piece though the grey Arun style jumper tucked into a tight black skirt definitely caught my eye, though I would quite happily wear every piece, as would a certain Miss Chung who announced after the show that she "LOVED IT". I’ve already started saving.
