TWENTY8TWELVE LFW AW12

Since the departure of Sienna and Savanna Miller in January I was especially curious to see what the future held for Twenty8Twelve, the label named after Sienna’s birthday.
With the same design team in place would the changes be dramatic? Would there even be any changes to the brand aesthetic?
Usually the brand puts on a catwalk show with a front row full of famous faces, this time, however we headed to the embankment show space for the presentation of ‘Faceless Featured Future’.
Inspired by the murky underbelly of London in the 1960’s the space was littered with screens showing the models emerging though pink, red and grey smoke appearing to walk towards us, intently focused. The colour pallet was made up of smokey greys and soft pastels punctuated by inky blues and greens. The collection itself followed on in the style we’ve come to expect from Twenty8Twelve. It was both simple and covetable, full of easy to wear, laid back pieces like flecked Aran knits, flared skater dresses and my favourite look, the crisp white shirt paired with long braced black shorts.
